Quickly seating guests who arrive without a prior Reservation is key to maintaining a smooth flow. The Walk-in feature allows you to instantly assign a table and track these guests in real-time, ensuring your floor plan remains accurate throughout the service.
Note: The Walk-in option is only available once your service has officially started. If you are preparing for a future shift, you will only be able to add regular Reservations.
How to Add a New Walk-in
Method 1: Using the add walk-in button
This is the most direct way to select a table and confirm the guest count in one flow.
Navigate to the Dashboard and view your floor plan.
Click on the specific table where you wish to seat the Guests.
Click the Add walk-in button located a the top of the reservation list.
Confirm the number of Party Size and click Save.
Method 2: Using the right-click shortcut
For a faster workflow on desktop, you can bypass the side menu entirely.
On your floor plan, right-click directly on the desired table.
Hover over Walk-in in the pop-up menu.
Select the specific number of People from the list.
If the exact number is not listed, click Walk-in... to manually enter the guest count.
Mobile Note: Instead of a right-click, press and hold the table for two seconds to trigger the pop-up menu.

Best practices for walk-in management
Keep it Real-Time: Always record a Walk-in as soon as the Guests are seated. This prevents the Back Office from overbooking that table for online Reservations.
Track No-Shows: If a Reservation doesn't arrive, mark them as a No-Show before assigning that table to a new Walk-in to keep your data clean.
