Maintaining a secure and organized Dashboard is key to a smooth service. By using staff codes, you can track exactly who manages your floor, ensuring that sensitive changes—like opening a closed time slot or modifying a large Reservation—are handled by authorized team members only.
Key benefits of staff control
Increased Accountability: Know exactly which team member performed specific actions.
Reduced Errors: Prevent accidental changes to time slots or group settings.
Detailed Oversight: Access a complete history of modifications for every Reservation.
Secure Operations: Protect your restaurant's availability by requiring authorization for critical overrides.
How it works: Staff Codes and Logs
Once this feature has been enabled within your Back Office, the system will require users to enter their unique code before they are permitted to save certain changes. This means that whenever a user attempts to make modifications to specific settings or information, the system will automatically prompt them to provide their individual authentication code. Only after successfully entering this code will the user be allowed to proceed with saving the changes they have made. This additional step helps to enhance security by ensuring that only authorized individuals can make important updates within the dashboard.

How to View Modification History (Change Log)
If you need to review who made a change, you can access the reservation history directly from the Reservation details.
Locate the Reservation in your Dashboard.
Open the Reservation window by double-clicking the Guest name or clicking the Information icon in the details panel.
Click on Change log located at the bottom left of the window.
Review the data. You will see the date, time, the name of the employee (Author), and the specific details of the modification.
Note on "Author" field: If an action was performed that did not require a code (based on your current settings), the Author field will be left blank.
Best Practices for Staff Management
Unique Codes: Ensure every employee has a unique code. Sharing codes defeats the purpose of the Change log.
Regular Audits: Review your logs weekly to identify training opportunities if you notice frequent errors in Reservation notes or status changes.
Manager Overrides: Keep "Opening/Closing time slots" restricted to management codes to maintain strict control over your restaurant's capacity.
