Preferences

The Preferences option allows you to activate visual aspects on your dashboard specifically per device. You have the option to activate feature improvements and/or select a floor plan theme. These options are effective per device, meaning that even if a user account is connected to multiple devices, the modification will only be applied to the device on which it is activated. This can be toggled off at any time to revert back to the previous display.

To access the Preferences option:

1. From the dashboard, access the Main Menu (green square at the top left of your screen)
2. Click on Preferences
3. From there, you can activate the Feature Improvements or select a Floor Plan Theme

Feature Improvements

When active, the following features will be activated on the device:

• The new reservation summary pop-up 

• The increased size of buttons in the reservation list of the floor plan

Those features are ideal for usage on a touchscreen device, but they can be enabled on any device such as a computer, if you wish to do so. 

Enhanced Reservation Summary Pop-Up

The visual aspect and usability of the reservation summary window has been improved. The pop-up can now be moved and relocated anywhere on the floor plan view, allowing users to remove any obstruction that the pop-up can cause on the floor plan. Additionally, the visual aspect of the buttons has been improved for better usage on touchscreen devices. 

Increased size of reservation list buttons

The buttons available in the reservation list of the floor plan view have been increased in size to help users manage reservations more easily on a touchscreen device. The following buttons are the ones affected by this change:

• Status

• Green table shortcut to seat a reservation

• Table number

• Yellow arrow to assign a reservation

• Time slot toggle

• Padlock

• Tag

Floor Plan Theme

In order to enhance user experience across various devices and operating systems, we have implemented support for three distinct versions of the floor plan. The Floor Plan Theme option ensures optimal display and functionality regardless of the device being used.

The 3 different themes are the following:

• Modern View : Latest and recommended high-performance option designed for supported devices and operating systems.
  • The Modern View is our latest and recommended high-performance option designed for supported devices and operating systems. In this view, you have the flexibility to rotate chairs around the tables and enhance your representation by adding various objects such as bars, walls, stairs, and plants to better visualize your space. This view offers an intuitive and customizable experience for creating and designing your floor plans efficiently.
• Modern View - Enlarged : Modern View with larger fonts for small devices.
  • In the Enlarged Modern View, an adaptation of our Modern View, larger fonts are integrated to enhance visualization on smaller devices and/or large floor plans. Notably, table numbers and reservation hours are prominently enlarged, ensuring a smoother experience on your device. This is our latest and recommended high-performance option designed for supported devices and operating systems. In this view, you have the flexibility to rotate chairs around the tables and enhance your representation by adding various objects such as bars, walls, stairs, and plants to better visualize your space. This view offers an intuitive and customizable experience for creating and designing your floor plans efficiently.
• Legacy View : For older machines with an out of date operating system or browser. Limited visuals.
  • The Legacy View is designed for restaurants operating on unsupported versions or devices where operations are not functional in either the Modern or Enlarged Modern views. This view retains the old interface without chairs and does not support the addition of objects. Any objects created in the Modern or Enlarged Modern views will not be deleted but will simply not be displayed when switching to the Legacy View.

Note: For reference, we suggest the Enlarged Modern View for iPad, and the Modern View for a computer. These are only general recommendations, we invite you to try the different themes and choose the one that suits you best.

Feedback Form

When the enhanced touchscreen usability is activated, you will also have the option to leave us feedback regarding the improvements by accessing a Google form. From the Preferences page, click on the blue button “Give Feedback” to be redirected towards a Google form.
