Maintaining a clear record of your floor operations is key to a smooth service. The Reservation History feature provides a transparent, timestamped log of every modification made to a reservation, ensuring your team stays on the same page and Guest details remain accurate.

Key Benefits of Tracking History
Complete Transparency: See exactly when a Reservation was created, modified, or canceled.
Enhanced Accountability: When paired with Staff Codes, you can see which specific team member performed each action.
Conflict Resolution: Quickly identify why a table was moved or a status was changed to resolve Guest inquiries with confidence.
Error Detection: Easily spot and correct accidental changes to maintain a reliable digital floor plan.
How It Works: The Audit Trail
The system automatically captures every interaction within a Reservation file. If Staff Codes are enabled in your Back Office, the system will require a unique ID before a change is saved, attributing that specific action to a staff member in the history log.
Step-by-Step Instructions
From your Dashboard, find the Guest in the list or on the floor plan and click on their name to open the edit window.
Locate the Change History button at the bottom left of the window and click it. (Mobile Note: Tap the "info" or "history" icon at the bottom of the reservation slide-out.)
A pop-up will appear displaying the date, time, and specific modification (e.g., "Status changed from Confirmed to No-Show" or "Table reassigned").
If you have Staff Codes active, the name of the employee will appear next to the action.

Best Practices for Your Team
Enable Staff Codes: We highly recommend activating the Staff Codes in your Back Office settings. It ensures that "Who did what" is never a mystery during a busy shift.
Resolve Guest Disputes with Proof: If a Guest disputes a cancellation or a change in their Reservation time, use the history log to provide the exact date and time the modification occurred. This allows you to handle complaints professionally with factual data to back up your records.
Use the Log for Training: If you notice frequent errors in table assignments, use the history logs to identify where extra training might be needed for specific team members.
