Personalizing the guest experience starts with knowing who is sitting at your tables. By enabling Guest Classification, you can ask guests to specify age groups or types of diners during the Reservation process. This ensures your staff is ready with high chairs, booster seats, or age-appropriate menus before the Guest even arrives.
Key Benefits of Guest Classification
Better Preparation: Know exactly how many children, teens, or adults to expect so you can set the table appropriately.
Accurate Data: Collect specific demographics to better understand your clientele.
Seamless Operations: Reduce the need for follow-up calls to clarify Guest needs.
How It Works: The Total Guest Count
When this feature is active, the first step on your widget requires the Guest to select the total number of people for the Reservation. They must then assign those people to your custom categories (e.g., 2 Adults, 1 Child).
Advanced: Linking Classifications to Ticketing
You can take your revenue management further by linking Guest Classification to your offer. This allows the system to automatically adjust the price of a Reservation based on who is attending.
Example Scenario:
Adult Price: $25
Child Price: $10
Automatic Calculation: If a Guest reserves for 2 Adults and 1 Child, the system automatically calculates the total ($25 + $25 + $10 = $60) at the time of purchase.
Viewing Classifications in Your Dashboard
Once a Reservation is made, you can easily view the breakdown of the group:
Open the Dashboard.
Click on a specific Reservation to open the details window.
The classification information will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the window.
