Printing your floor plan provides your team with a physical reference for the shift. This is a valuable tool for both the front-of-house to manage seating and the back-of-house to anticipate the flow of Reservations and pace the kitchen accordingly.
How to Print your Floor Plan
Navigate to the Floorplan section from the bottom of your Dashboard.
Click on the three vertical dots (⋮) located to the right of your floor plan names (e.g., Dining Room, Terrace).
Click Print Floor Plan from the dropdown menu.
-
A window will appear allowing you to toggle specific details on or off based on who needs the printout:
Floor plan name, date, and service scope: Essential for staying organized if you print layouts for future shifts.
Reservation information: Includes Reservation times and table statuses.
Servers information: Displays assigned sections to help coordinate the team.
Decor items: Includes visual markers like walls and plants to help staff orient themselves.
Click the green Print button to send the document to your local printer.
Quick Tips for Success
Coordinate with the kitchen: Provide a copy to the back-of-house so the Chef can visualize the evening's flow and prepare for large Reservations at specific tables.
Filter by service: If you have a busy transition between Lunch and Dinner, print a separate sheet for each service scope to keep the host stand organized.
Server coordination: Including Servers information on the printout is the fastest way to communicate section changes during a shift handover.
Visual clarity: If your floor plan is crowded, try toggling off decor items to make the Reservation details and table numbers stand out more clearly.
