View and Manage Marketing Consent Status
The marketing consent status and date are indicated in each guest profile. The possible consent statuses are the following:
- Implicit
- Explicit
- Unsubscribed
Consent linked to restaurant
In multi-restaurant accounts, unsubscribing a client from marketing communications for one restaurant does not unsubscribe them from other restaurants in the account. Consent is managed separately for each restaurant.
Unsubscribing a Customer from Marketing Communications
At a customer’s request, you can manually unsubscribe them from receiving marketing communications via email and/or SMS.
- Access the customer profile.
- Under Consent Status, click on "Unsubscribe."
Note: This action is irreversible. However, the customer can re-subscribe when placing an online reservation.

Merge Duplicates
Over time, it is possible that you have multiple duplicate guest files. To avoid any cluster in your guest list, you can merge duplicate client files together.
Identifying Duplicate Guests
The system identifies duplicate based on the following criteria:
- Phone Number: The client's phone number is also used for another customer.
- Email Address: The client's email address is also used for another customer.
Selecting Duplicate Guest
When you see the duplicate tag next to a guest in the list, you have two options:
-
Select a Single Guest (recommended):
- Select one guest, and the system will show you the duplicates it has found for that client.
-
Select Multiple Guests:
- Choose all the guests you want to merge from your list
Start by selecting the clients files you wish to merge together (we recommend using the "Only Show Duplicates" filter to help you find the duplicate files) than click on the Merge Duplicates button at the top right.

Note: When the system finds a duplicate based on the customer(s) you have selected, a blue icon appears at the top right corner of the customer's card.
Step 1. You have the option to select all the files you wish to merge together, once it's done, click "Next".

Important Note: A guest file will not be available to merge if it has an upcoming reservation. If you select a guest with upcoming reservations, the merge will not be allowed to avoid communication issues for these reservations. An orange icon will appear at the top right corner of the guest card. Once the upcoming reservation has passed, you'll be able to merge this guest.
Step 2. Select the information from each guest that you wish to keep. You can select the name, phone number, email address and language. Then click "Confirm".
Note: The following information from all guests will be consolidated into the new guest after merging: guest tags, notes, number of visits, cancellations, no-shows, and past reservations. The communication preference and consent status retained will be those from the most recent guest reservation.
4. Confirm and merge.
