Libro allows you to fully customize how and when your staff receives alerts about important restaurant activity, such as new reservations, customer reviews, and chat messages. Notification preferences are managed individually within each User Account in the Back Office, providing maximum flexibility based on each team member's role and responsibilities.
By customizing these preferences, you ensure that the right people get the right information instantly, optimizing operational efficiency and customer response times.

Types of Notifications Available
You can configure notifications for the following key activities:

Setting Up User Notifications
Notification preferences for each staff member are configured in the User Accounts section of the Back Office.
Step 1: Access the User's Notification Preferences
Log in to your Libro Back-Office with a Supervisor user.
In the left-hand menu, click on User Accounts.
Locate the user whose settings you wish to configure and click the edit icon next to their name.
Scroll down to the Notification Preferences section.
Step 2: Configure Default Notification Settings
The settings at the top of the Notification Preferences section will apply as the default for all restaurants assigned to that user.

Select Channels and Activities: For each activity (Reservations, Reviews, Chat, etc.), check the box(es) for the desired notification channel(s): Email, Push, or SMS.
Example: To receive an Email and a Push notification for new online reservations, check both boxes next to Reservations.
Select Review Frequency : For Reviews notifications, use the dropdown menu on the right to choose the frequency: Immedietely (Immediately after each review), every 10 minutes, or once per day.
Click Save to activate these default settings.
Step 3: Customize Notifications for Specific Restaurants (Optional)
If the user is assigned to multiple restaurants, you can override the global defaults for specific locations.
Scroll down to the Customize notifications by restaurant section.
Click Modify next to the specific restaurant you want to change.
Check or uncheck the boxes to set the unique preferences for this location.
To revert the specific restaurant's settings back to the global defaults, click Rétablir les valeurs par défaut (Re-establish default values).
Click Save to finalize your location-specific settings.
Activate Push Notifications
Push notifications are the fastest way to receive alerts for critical activity like new reservations and guest chat messages directly on your mobile device (phone or tablet). To enable them, you must configure settings in both your Libro account and your mobile device.
1. Download the Libro App
To receive push notifications, the Libro app must be installed on your device.
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and search for Libro Resto.

2. Activate Notifications in Your Libro Account
You must enable the Push option in the Back Office for the activities you want to be alerted about (see Step 2 above).
3. Activate Notifications in Your Device Settings
Finally, ensure your mobile device allows the Libro app to send alerts.
Instructions for iOS (iPhone & iPad):
Access the Settings of your device.
Scroll down to find the Libro Resto app, then tap on it.
Select Notifications.
Toggle on the button next to Allow Notifications.
Underneath, you can select the type of alert you would like to receive (Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banner).

Instructions for Android:
Access the Settings of your device.
Scroll down, then click on Notifications.
Select App Notifications.
Scroll down and click on Libro Resto.
Toggle on the button next to Allow Notifications.
Underneath, you can select the type of alert you would like to receive (lock screen, badge, or pop-up).

You're all set! Your team members will now be instantly alerted on their device via push notifications for all selected activity.
