Table combinations enhance the flexibility of your floor plans, enabling you to accommodate more reservations and groups. By configuring combinations, your restaurant can maximize availability, making it easier for diners to find open tables that suit their party size.
Accessing Table Combinations
You can now manage table combinations directly from the Dashboard without needing to access the Back Office. There are two types of combinations available:
- Basic Table Combinations
- Smart Table Combinations
Basic combinations let you set custom capacities, while smart combinations generate optimal configurations automatically.
Create Basic Table Combinations
Basic combinations allow you to set a custom minimum and maximum group size for a table combination, regardless of the individual capacities of each table.
Example:
- Tables 1, 2, 3, and 4 each have a capacity of 2 people.
- By configuring a basic combination, you can set a custom range—such as 8 to 16 people—based on your restaurant's needs.
- When reserved as a combination, all selected tables will be fully allocated to the group.
- However, if not booked as a combination, each table remains available for individual reservations.
Steps to Create a Basic Table Combination:
- After selecting tables, click Create Table Combination.
- Set the minimum and maximum number of people.
- Optionally, adjust the capacities of individual tables in the Advanced Settings drawer.

Create Smart Table Combinations
Smart combinations optimize the table setup by automatically calculating the possible configurations based on the selected tables' minimum and maximum capacities.
Example:
- Tables 1, 2, 3, and 4 each have a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 people.
- The system generates combinations such as: (1,2) (2,3) (3,4) (1,2,3) (2,3,4) (1,2,3,4)
- When reserved as a combination, the system can allocate multiple groups within the same combination. For example, a combination of tables 1, 2, 3, and 4 could accommodate:
- Two groups of 4 people
- One group of 6 people and one table of 2
- Or one group of 8 people
- However, if not booked as a combination, each table remains available for individual reservations.
Table Order Option:
Configure the order of tables by:
- Position (default option): Tables are listed according to their physical layout on the floor plan, regardless of their table number.
- Example: If table 12 is located between tables 5 and 6 on the floor plan, it will appear in that position in the list (5,12,6), even though its number is higher.
- Numeric: Tables are listed in ascending numerical order based on their assigned table numbers, regardless of their physical position in the dining area.
- Example: Table 1 will always appear first, followed by tables 2, 3, 4, etc., even if their physical placement is different.
Steps to Create a Smart Table Combination:
- After selecting tables, click Create Smart Combination.
- View the generated combinations and choose the Table Order option.
Note: A minimum of three tables is required to create a smart combination.
